"Hanna was diagnosed with asthma at a very young age. I never liked the thought
of her having to rely on inhalers and tablets to help her breathe. I took her along to a FREE Buteyko Seminar and she was keen to enrol on a Buteyko Course. Since attending the course, she hasn't used any Ventolin, she has cut down her Becotide to almost nothing and has no asthma at all! I am so pleased and she is so much more healthy now. "My doctor told me to try the Buteyko Institute Method of Breathing Retraining.
There aren't many practitioners teaching the method in the UK, so it proved
difficult to find help. Then, out of the blue, I read an article in The
Evening Herald about local practitioners helping sufferers across the southwest,
so I attended a Free Seminar and decided to embark on a course.... This has been the first couple of winters that I haven't had a chest infection in years. My Doctor is amazed." |

"I first got asthma 18 years ago when a fuse box in my house caught fire. I
was taken to hospital and they told me I had asthma. I had seen a programme
years ago about the Buteyko Institute on TV and thought it looked good but
was not aware that it was available in the UK until I saw an article in the local
press. Before learning the Buteyko Institute Method I had accepted that I would be using three different types of inhalers for the rest of my life. I was governed by asthma. Now I am completely free of asthma and do not need to use any medication to help me breathe. I wish I had done it years ago. I am shocked that this method is not more well known, more people need to be aware of Buteyko Breathing Retraining and it's benefits. At the moment I have a cold and before I went on the Buteyko Course, by this stage I would have been off work but I am well enough to work now-even with a cold. I no longer worry about cigarette smoke or fumes from aerosol cans getting to my chest and that used to really bother me and really hurt. I would say to anybody who has breathing problems - go to a free seminar and find out more about it, so you can make your mind up for yourself". |

"When Patrick was six months old he had bronchiolitis which left him with asthma.
After moving to Cornwall from Surrey, Patrick continued to suffer and tried
to cope with the problem through specialists, nebulisers, inhalers and trips
to hospital. Patrick had lots of medication and used to use an inhaler,
sometimes as much as 20 times a day! Since learning Buteyko, Patrick can play a football match without a puff of his inhaler, and is just a calmer, happier person. It has really made a difference to all our lives because we now know how to breathe" |

"I had asthma for 10 years and used to use strong reliever and preventer inhalers
daily. I enrolled on a Buteyko Course with Nikki Jewell and Simon Paddon at Honiton Community College, February 2005. Since attending the course my asthma is not a problem anymore and I haven't needed my reliever inhaler since. I also suffered with SVT (Extremely rapid heartbeat) and that has gone since I attended the course as well". |
